SAJ Youth

SAJ Youth events/programmes are open to any youth High School aged and up. We have a mixture of social and discipleship programmes and aim to provide a safe place where people can not only come to learn about God, but can also build friendships and journey through life's ups and downs together. Come along, we'd love you to join us!

HYPE!

Hype is our bible study for High School aged youth. We run 5 Life Groups simultaneously each Tuesday night of the school term. Life Groups comprise of youth of the same age and gender to ensure that members are comfortable and that each study is relevant for the group.

As well as studying the bible, we also spend time serving our church and community in a variety of special projects. We think it's important not just to talk the talk, but to walk the walk too!

WHEN // Tuesday nights, 7-9pm during the school term.
WHERE // The Salvation Army Johnsonville.
WHO // High School aged youth.

 Massive

Massive runs twice a month on Friday nights and is a time to hang out, meet new people and build relationships. It's a great way for someone new to get to know people and a great opportunity to bring friends along to church. We do a variety of things at Massive so check us out on Facebook (SAJ Youth) for details about what's coming up next!

Facebook

Since most young people tend to spend A LOT of time on Facebook, we figure that it's a good place to put all of our details about upcoming events. Check us out... now.

Help!?

Sometimes life can get pretty tricky and our teen years are no different. Whether it’s you or someone else that needs help, there’s heaps of people that you can talk to who will understand how you’re feeling. The services below have trained counselors who you can talk to (it’s free & confidential). You could also talk to someone else you trust like a friend, youth leader, parent, doctor or school counselor. Don't forget that God loves you and He never leaves you or forsakes you. You are not alone. Nothing is too big for God to handle.

CATT (04) 494 9169
If you or someone you know has reached “crisis point” – then they need urgent help. There are trained professionals, called CATT teams, who provide emergency psychiatric care for people experiencing a mental health crisis.

Please Note: If you have serious concerns for the safety of a friend in regards to suicide, do not hesitate to contact their parent/caregiver IMMEDIATELY. This issue is too big for you to handle alone. Remember that a person's life is more important than confidentiality.
